How it works

  1. Reach out the way you already work

Call between jobs, text from the truck, or send an email at night. Two lines about your trade and your town is plenty to start.

  2. Get a straight read on your marketing

In a free 30-minute consultation we look at where your work comes from now, what it costs you, and the one or two changes most likely to matter.

  3. Decide with the numbers in front of you

If a plan makes sense, you get the scope and price in writing, month-to-month. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Most trades owners in Ontario never get a straight answer about their marketing because the first person they reach is a salesperson reading from a script. Ontario.Contact removes that layer. You call, text or email, and you are talking to a senior strategist who can tell you, in plain language, what is working, what is wasting money and what to do next, whether or not you ever hire us.

Three ways to reach us, all of them direct

The short answer: phone and text go to (604) 632-4959, and email goes to Ali@Sedighi.ca. There is no queue, no ticket number and no junior account rep standing between you and the person who would actually plan your marketing.

Each channel suits a different moment in a trades owner's day:

  • Call when you want a real back-and-forth and have 10 minutes between jobs. Questions like "why did my calls drop in March?" are easier to talk through than to type.
  • Text when you are on a roof, in a crawlspace or in the truck. Send two lines, get back to work, and we reply when you can read it.
  • Email when you want to attach something: a screenshot of your Google Ads bill, last year's invoice totals, or the contract your current agency sent you.

Our contact page lists what to put in that first message so the reply is useful rather than generic. We are open Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific, which works out to noon to 9 p.m. in Ontario, so an evening call after the last job of the day still lands during our hours.

What happens in the first conversation

The first conversation is a working session, not a pitch. It is free, it runs about 30 minutes, and you should leave it knowing something you didn't know before.

We usually cover four things:

  1. Where your jobs come from today. Referrals, Google, online directories, repeat customers, trucks parked in driveways. Most owners have a feel for this but no numbers.
  2. What a job is worth to you. Average ticket, gross margin and how many quotes you close. This decides how much a new lead can sensibly cost.
  3. Where the leaks are. Missed calls, slow quote follow-up, a Google profile in the wrong category, a website that loads slowly on a phone.
  4. Whether paid help makes sense yet. Sometimes the honest answer is "fix these two things yourself first". The free consultation page explains exactly what we look at.

A worked example of the maths we bring to the call

Numbers decide marketing budgets, so we bring them to the first call. Here is the kind of arithmetic we walk through, using placeholder figures you can swap for your own.

Say you run a plumbing and drain company in Durham Region. Your average job is $650, you keep about 45% after materials and labour, and you book 4 of every 10 people who call you. That means each booked job is worth roughly $290 in gross profit, and each phone call is worth about $116 to you (4 in 10 calls times $290).

If a marketing channel brings you a call for $60, every call earns its cost back almost twice over. If it brings you a call for $140, you are paying more for each call than it is worth, and no amount of extra volume fixes that. This one calculation settles more arguments about Google Ads, directories and websites than any sales deck ever has. Our guide to briefing a marketing strategist shows how to work out your own version in 15 minutes.

What we do, and what we don't

We plan and run marketing for Ontario trades businesses: local search and Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Local Services Ads, and websites built to get calls and texts. We also help owners who want out of an existing agency contract move their accounts across cleanly.

We are a marketing and business consulting service, not a contractor. Nobody here fixes furnaces or wires panels, we hold no TSSA or ESA registration, and we never compete with our clients for work. When a question is really about licensing or compliance, we point you to the regulator, such as the Technical Standards and Safety Authority, rather than guessing.

Proof from our HVAC work

Our track record is in HVAC and heating, and we say so plainly. These are results from our HVAC work, not from Ontario plumbing or roofing clients:

What transfers to other trades is the method: fix the profile and the phone first, then buy traffic, then measure by booked jobs rather than clicks. The results page explains each case and what it does and doesn't prove.

How engagements work, from first text to monthly report

Engagements are month-to-month, priced in public, and built so you could walk away at any point with everything you paid for. Plans start at $1,999 per month, or $1,499 per month on annual billing, with 30 days' notice to cancel. The pricing page shows all three plans side by side.

Once you decide to go ahead, the first month is mostly setup: access to your accounts in your name, call tracking, a review of your Google profile and site, and a written plan for months two and three. After that, you get a monthly report that leads with calls, texts, booked jobs and cost per booked job. If those numbers don't move, we tell you before you ask.

Who is behind Ontario.Contact

Ontario.Contact is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, a Canadian company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and it is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. His digital marketing career began in 2007, which makes it 17+ years, and along the way he has built 150+ live HVAC websites. The about page has his background and how we decide which clients to take on.

We serve the whole province, from the Greater Toronto Area to Northern Ontario. The areas page explains how marketing changes between a dense GTA suburb and a town where everyone already knows the three local plumbers by name. When you are ready, call, text or email. Two lines is enough to start.

Frequently asked questions

What is Ontario.Contact?

Ontario.Contact is the direct line from Ontario trades owners to a senior marketing strategist: a Canadian marketing and business consulting service run by the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group from its Vancouver, BC headquarters, with Ali Sedighi, MBA, at the head.

Are you a contractor?

No. We never touch the tools: no installs, no repairs, no service calls. We plan and run marketing for the businesses that do that work, and we will never bid against you for a job.

What is the fastest way to reach you?

A text to (604) 632-4959 is usually quickest if you are on a job site, because you can send it and get back to work. Calls go to the same number, and email goes to Ali@Sedighi.ca.

Do I have to commit to anything to talk to you?

No. The first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses and is separate from any paid plan. Plenty of those calls end with advice you can act on yourself.

How much do your plans cost?

Month-to-month, the Growth plan is $1,999 per month; billed annually it drops to $1,499 per month. Prices are Canadian dollars before 13% HST, nothing locks you in, and 30 days' notice ends it.

Can you work with a business in a small Ontario town?

Yes. Marketing a service area of a few thousand households is a different job from marketing in Toronto, but it is often the cheaper one, because fewer competitors are doing it well.
